Meet K12 International Academy student, and two-time Leukemia survivor, Jaylon Fong!!

He describes himself as “Spreading Hope, 2013 Little League Good Sport Award Recipient, and Matt Kemp’s #1 Fan.” He was also a 2013 Sports Illustrated Kids Sports Kid of the Year Finalist. More exhaustively, “Jaylon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on December 3, 2008 at the City of Hope. He achieved remission in January 2009 and completed his treatment on March 26, 2012. With heartbreaking news, Jaylon was diagnosed with an Isolated CNS Relapse on June 21, 2012. He achieved Complete CNS Remission on August 2, 2012. On November 19, 2014 he completed his relapse treatment. Jaylon is a 2-time leukemia survivor.”
He describes his mission as: “to inspire those that are battling leukemia and other cancers. He is also raising awareness for the need of blood donations, bone marrow registrations, and donations for childhood cancer research.”
Just this year, Jaylon wrote a letter to U.S. President Barack Obama, describing his journey with cancer and recovery. He received both a response from the President, as well as an invitation to this April’s 137th annual Easter Egg Roll.
