For those of you who don’t know who Mr. T.J. Oshie is, he is a forward for the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League. For those of you who do know who he is, you already know he’s awesome.

He was 24th overall in the 2005 NHL draft pick. He has been a fan favorite ever since 2008 when he played his first NHL game. He became known all over the world for his unbelievable performance in the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. He had done something that no one had ever done before. He scored four shootout goals in Sochi for team U.S.A. against team Russia and their goalie, Sergei Bobrovsky. You couldn’t turn on the TV without seeing what T.J. Oshie did in Sochi. Every news channel was calling T.J. Oshie the American hero. Oshie said, “The true American hero’s wear camo. That’s not me”.

I got to go and watch him practice with his entire team. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. After practice, Mr. Oshie came out and took pictures with fans and signed autographs for everyone even though he was on his way to see his newborn baby girl who was in the hospital. He is a super nice guy and you should check him out every chance you get!
