Portuguese Water Dogs

Portuguese Water Dogs are a stunning breed of dog. Originally working dogs, they were used to herd fish into nets, guard boats, and rescue people from the water that had fallen overboard. Just like poodles, they do not shed, so they are great dogs for people who have allergies. Portuguese Water Dogs were bred in Portugal, but have since journeyed to many different countries. They serve as show dogs, therapy dogs, are deaf-assistant dogs, and they are loving companions. Here are some pictures I took of my own Portuguese Water Dog puppy and his brother!
